The AH-1W Super Cobra is a day/night marginal weather Marine Corps attack helicopter that
provides enroute escort for our assault helicopters and their embarked forces. This helicopter
is a two-place, tandem-seat, twin-engine helicopter capable of land- or sea-based operations.
It provides fire support to the landing force during
amphibious assaults.

The AH-64A is used to conduct rear, close, and deep operations and deep precision
strikes. It also provides armed reconnaissance and security when required in day, night,
and adverse weather conditions. It is the predecessor of today's
unmatched AH-64D Apache Longbow multi-mission combat helicopter.

The mission of the CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter in a Marine Medium Helicopter (HMM)
squadron is to provide all-weather, day/night, night vision goggle (NVG) assault
transport of combat troops, supplies, and equipment during amphibious and subsequent
operations ashore. Troop assault is the primary function and the movement of supplies
and equipment is secondary.

Heavy lift helicopter designed for the transportation of material and supplies. The CH-53E
is compatible with most amphibious class ships. The helicopter is capable of lifting 16
tons at sea level, transporting the load 50 nautical miles and returning. A typical load
would be a 16,000 pound M198 howitzer or a 26,000 pound Light Armored Vehicle.
The aircraft also can retrieve downed aircraft and can be refueled in flight.

The UH-60 Blackhawk is a utility tactical transport helicopter that replaces the UH-1 "Huey".
The versatile Blackhawk has enhanced the overall mobility of The Army, due to dramatic
improvements in troop capacity and cargo lift capability. An entire 11-person,
fully-equipped infantry squad can be lifted in a single Blackhawk.

The primary mission of the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter is to conduct day or night operations
into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel during war.
Because of its versatility, the HH-60G is also tasked to perform military operations other
than war.
